Core Values

Everybody here on this planet has a set of values. We express and act upon the world according to this set of values.

We filter this world in our sensory world. You might ask:

How do we determine those values?

If you look at your house, car and office, whatever your space is. It’s how you fill your space, is determined by your values. For example, I have many books and research materials from courses I attended. My husband instead has computer equipment, business articles and his favourite antique car magazines neatly stacked up. So we live according to our values, how we fill our space is according to our value system.

Next thing to look at is how you spend your time? What do you see for yourself? Do you have a dream inside? A Vision of how you’d like your life to be?  Your values determine that Vision. It’s an expression of those values.

Next thing to do is to observe your internal dialogue.  What’s you internal dialogue all about? Inside you, what are you affirming to yourself?  You’re talking to yourself inside, what are you talking to yourself about? That’s based on your value system.

Next thing to do is to think about your conversations. What do you converse about? Who are you conversing with? Is it about trying to grow your business, surfing, how to find a life partner?

So to summarise, how you fill your space, how you spend your time, how you spend your energy, how you spend your money, what you visualise, what you think about, what you converse about inside, what you converse about outside, and how you react to people, determines your core values.

If you do an analysis of yourself in this way, you’ll discover what is really important in your life. Your life demonstrates it. I would say, by asking 1000’s of people across the world, what their core values are, most people wouldn’t even know. They have never taken the time to really look at their own values. What they do is inject social expectations into their lives, say one thing and live another thing and then beat themselves up relative to this idealism that they are not living. Very few people live by their true values.

See if you can determine your values today, do it now, and let your reality come about now!
