Attitude of Gratitude

Adapting the attitude of gratitude in your life is vital for creating the life you love.

Gratitude is all about appreciating the things you have in your life. It’s like seeing things that are right, instead of what’s wrong and start to see every ‘problem’ as an opportunity to grow and learn from.

It’s all too easy to complain of the things that are upsetting and wrong. This is where there is room for true growth and development. We often complain about the weather, our friends, our spouses, our neighbourhood. But this is where we can start to be grateful and see the goodness in these things.

Just get present to the beauty and majesty of a sunset as you sit and watch the sun go down. Be thankful for a gift from a friend, a beautiful smile from a total stranger or just the feeling of security having somewhere warm and safe to lay your head at night.

List the things in your life you are grateful for and which you take for granted. Include your health, home, family, work, friends, car, colleagues and the usual things we take for granted that we cannot live without: Water, Air, Sun and food. Start to reflect on these things in your life.

Focus on what is right in your life, instead of what is wrong. Count your blessing and be truly thankful.

Accept things as they are, no matter how the situation has turned out to be. Accept it the way it is. You don’t know how much worse off you could have been if things had gone differently. Be grateful for every moment.

Say Thank You as often as possible to all the people who make life what it is now. To create the life you love, always be brimming over with goodness. Through the gratitude will come many more gifts which will allow you to be truly grateful for everything around you. Adopt the attitude of gratitude as a lifetime commitment and it will truly be the life you want and love.

Create a trail of happiness behind you as you go forward in your life. I wish you the best life ever.
